Midwest Conference 2010
In August of 2010, the EEC youth returned to Oklahoma to attend the Midwest Conference. Rejoined with familiar faces and a few new ones form various other Ethiopian youth groups from around the country, the EEC youth fully participated in all the planed events, sermons, and worship.
Midwest Conference 2009
In August of 2009, the EEC youth headed down south to attend a conference for Ethiopian youth living in the Midwest states. This conference was a memorable experience; it not only provided us with time to catch up on the long bus ride to Oklahoma, but also time to meet and connect with other Ethiopian believers from different states.
The daily agenda consisted of wake up call, breakfast, morning service, break time, lunch, afternoon service, break / nap time, night service, and "sleep" time. The services were lead by Pastor David from the Dallas based church and a guest speaker who was also from Texas. The featured worship band was a Dallas based musical group named Edge.
To conclude our trip, we had a talent show as well as mini concert by Edge and a CD signing session that followed afterward. We learned a lot from the sermons and had much to discuss on the bus ride home.
